Janet Marie Pennington (Chudyk) 71, of Brownstown, MI, passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2025. She was born October 2, 1954, in Farmington Hills, MI, to Caroline Chudyk (Russo) and William Chudyk. Janet spent her childhood in Detroit, MI with siblings Sandra Pongratz (Chudyk) and John Chudyk. She graduated from Cody High School in 1972.  On November 5th of 1976, Janet married David Jones, and together they created a home raising 3 daughters, Michelle, Lisa & Susan. On August 13th 2004, she married Kenneth Pennington and moved to Brownstown for the remainder of her life.

Janet worked a variety of jobs throughout her life and mastered the art of many trades. She was a housekeeper/organizer, a cook, a painter & a landscaper. Her love of baking often provided for her family in their younger years with a kitchen that smelled of many delicious pastries each year from November 1st until after the New Year. Who could ever forget her famous Cannoli, Chocolate Cake & Apple Pie!

Janet enjoyed exercising, dancing, good music and most especially riding her bike. In her retirement years, anytime the weather permitted, you could find her riding her bike at either Elizabeth Park or Lake Erie Metro Park with her boyfriend, Mike Macosko.

Remaining to cherish Janet's memory are her children Michelle Chudyk (Gina Gusarisco), Lisa Jones (Raoud Flagg) and Susan Schaibley.  Her grandchildren, Michael Perruzzi (Lauren Muzzin), Robert Perruzzi (Melissa Millisor), Steven Perruzzi (Dennis Hicks), Raoud Flagg Jr and Raffaele Flagg. Her great-grandchildren, Julian Perruzzi, Asher Millisor- Perruzzi, Levi Millisor-Perruzzi & Roisin Markwart. Her sister Sandra Pongratz (David Pongratz), her nieces and nephew Kimberly Pongratz, Aryn Pongratz & Shanya Burghardt.

Preceding Janet in death are spouse David Jones and Kenneth Pennington, her parents, William and Caroline Chudyk, and her brother John Chudyk.

She will be deeply missed.
