Janice was born on June 13, 1943 to her parents Thomas and Helen Jadu in Detroit Michigan. She graduated from Cooley High School and was proud of her Detroit roots. She always root for the home team. He favorites being the U of M football team. She really admired their athleticism, talent and the fact that they were well known across the country.

Janice was also proud of her only child, Leslie. Leslie was her pride and joy. There was nothing Janice would not do to make her daughter happy. Together they would build many special memories.

Janice was the kind of person who would put her family before anything else. All you needed to do is say the word and she would be right there. Even if she thought you needed help, she would be there. Her cousin Linda was suffering an illness down in Florida and Janice dropped everything to stay with her until she could better care for herself. This was just the kind of person Janice was.

She worked as a waitress for many years. She was the best. She got to make friends with every table she served and loved it. One of the restaurants she worked with was Tom Thumb, a pizza restaurant in the Cass Corridor owned by her family. Others were the Bread Basket and Embers Deli.

Her outgoing personality just drew you in and made you feel special. She was highly intelligent and had a great sense humor that put people at ease. Although she was the most caring and giving person you would meet, if you got on her bad side, watch out. She was definitely a force to be reckoned with if you crossed her. There was no room for a gray area.

Above all else, Janice loved her family. Her main goal was to spoil every one of them. She always made sure they had everything they needed to be happy and comfortable. It wasn't uncommon for Janice to surprise you with a tasty treat made in her own kitchen. Anyone you ask will tell you that she made the absolute best carrot cake.

Her kindness and generosity, shocking jokes and tasty treats will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Janice Jadu passed away July 20, 2020 at the age of 77. Beloved mother of Leslie (Kevin) Cardwell. Dear aunt of Lynn Collier, Cindy Rodriguez (Collier), Jeffrey (Kerri) Collier and the late Kevin Collier. She was predeceased by her siblings, Thomas and Denise. There will be a memorial mass held at St. Barbara Catholic Church on Saturday, July 25 ^th beginning at 5:15pm.
