Javier Ali Cuevas (Tato) passed away at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital in Wyandotte Michigan on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at the age of 42.

Tato, as everyone knew him, is survived by his children; Javier Garza, Emanuel Cuevas, Elisa Cuevas, and his grandchildren Joseph Garza and Olivia Garza, his parents, Manuel Cuevas and Olga Perez, and his sister Elizabeth Barrera, brother Hector Cuevas, sister Shelby Clarke and sister Maria Cuevas.

He is lovingly remembered by his fiancé Megan Daniels and stepson Jayden Daniels.

Megan and Tato met in December 2012 and have been together for 9 years.  Tato and Megan lived in River Rouge.  Everyone knew him on their block, he was the life of the neighborhood. Tato loved the Halloween Holiday. He was very proud of his Halloween display that he put up every year in front of his house.  Tato also loved landscaping and would spend a lot of time in his backyard making it look so peaceful and serene.  Tato was a good-hearted man that always wanted to have family gatherings and would love to cook!  He made the best pastelillos or as Megan would call it, meat pies. Tato was admired by many friends and family who will sincerely regret his untimely death.
