Dahms, Jean D.; 59; of North Little Rock, AR; passed away September 4, 2010 unexpectedly while on vacation in Rome, Italy. Loving wife of Bob; dear mother of Joe Shannon; devoted grandmother of Kyleigh Jean; loving daughter of Joe the late Mary Miller Dickson. Also survived by two aunts, three cousins, and a host of friends. Jean grew up in Dearborn attending Howard Elementary School, Bryant Junior High School, and Dearborn High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri and went on to be the Arkansas state representative for the North American Council on Adoptable Children for more than 20 years. She was presented a Paul Harris Award in 2008 from Rotary International for her work with adoption. Jean will always be remembered for her zest for life, her generosity, her laughter, her story telling, and her big heart.
