Oelkers, Jean. Age 93. Born April 13, 1920 and passed peacefully July 10, 2013. Preceded by her loving husband of 53 years, Theodore. Beloved mother of Robert (Rhonda) and sister of Gig Olsen. Born and raised in Indiana, she attained her degree from Indiana University and worked as an audiologist, helping soldiers who suffered hearing impairments. She was proud of her Hoosier roots and spoke often of her home state, but she was happy to move to Michigan when she met her Theodore. She could start a conversation with anyone, anywhere, and her outgoing nature rewarded her with many good friendships. Memorial service Wednesday July 24, 3:00 pm at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 N. Military, Dearborn. Memorial contributions in Jean's honor may be made to Christ Episcopal Church.
