Obituary

Jean Thompson passed away February 20, 2021. 2 days short of her 94 th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Arthur. Beloved mother of Gary and Nora (Jon) Smith.  Dear sister of Walter F. Ansman, Ruth Blickenstaff and the late Marian Koleno. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Jean was an extremely generous and giving person. She would do anything to help anyone. Her and her children would help all of the neighbors who were unable to do things on their own. Jean would even drive them to doctor's appointments and the pharmacy.

Everyone was important to her and she made sure they knew it. Every year she would take her new calendar and transfer all the birthdays from the old one. You could count on receiving a card every year from Jean. Also, she wouldn't think of sending it without some money inside!

It wouldn't be at all surprising to find a letter in your mailbox from Jean. She loved to write letters. She would type them out until she was no longer able to, then they were hand written. These were cherished by all who received them. Jean had a gift to turn everyday events into written works of art.

A hobby she shared with Arthur was caring for their roses. They had over 50 plants that they grew together and shared many moments admiring their beauty.

Jean will be missed by all who were fortunate to have had her in their lives.
