Jeffrey Scott Gee passed away September 19, 2019, at the age of 51.  Beloved husband of Karen.  Loving father of Lauren and Nicholas.  Dear son of Patricia (nee Foley) and Larry Gee.

Brother of Derek (Ann) and Bryan (Kelly).  Brother-in-law of Debbie.  Uncle of Christina, Clayton,  Collier, Katie and Jessica.  Son-in-law of Gil and Haddy Gardocki. Jeff was born in Dearborn, Michigan, on Friday, October 13, 1967.  He graduated from Edsel Ford High School  in June, 1986, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Wayne State University in 1991.

Jeff was accepted to Law School at the University of Detroit.    Jeff also graduated from the Wayne County Regional Police Training  Center in 1991.  He distinguished himself there with a "Special Honors Award—Code of Ethics—Recruit Jeffrey S. Gee—Dearborn Police Department". He had a stellar career as a Dearborn Police Officer.

As a Dearborn officer, he received several promotions.  In August, 2003, Dearborn Mayor, Michael A. Guido, and Chief of Police, Timothy Strutz, announced his promotion to the high rank of Detective Sergeant.  Jeff's leadership skills were evident.  He served as President of both the Police Officers Union and the Command Officers Union and successfully negotiated numerous collective bargaining agreements.

In September, 2009, Jeff was selected as the Department's Polygraph Examiner. Previously, he completed an intensive 10 week polygrapher's course at the Maryland Institute of Criminal Justice at Annapolis.    Jeff was on the Executive Board of Dearborn Police Charities and was always active with fundraisers, community events, and "Shop With a Cop." After 26 yrs.  Jeff initiated a retirement private practice,  APS Polygraph Services of Michigan.

Jeff was a sports enthusiast and played Varsity Football at Edsel Ford High School.  In 1985, he was named  " All City"  Offensive Center and earned "All State" "Dream Team"and "All Metro West" accolades.  Jeff was the team co-captain and a two year starter for the T-Bird offense and defense.  Jeff received numerous college football scholarships, but declined in favor of a law enforcement career.

The most important part of Jeff's life was his family.  On April 25, 1998, Jeff and Karen Gardocki married.   Jeff described her as the "best wife in the world".  Jeff adored Karen, Lauren, and Nick.

Blessed with a  great sense of humor,   Jeff was truly a "people person".  He will be deeply missed by family and friends.   As the poet Geoffrey Chaucer wrote, "He was the perfect, gentle knight."
