Jerome Stanley Lamparski, lovingly known as Jerry, passed away on May 17, 2026, at the age of 57.
Jerry was the beloved son of Elaine Lamparski and the late Jerome “Jerry” Lamparski. Loving brother of Mike (Joanna) Lamparski and Jeff (Sara) Lamparski. Proud and devoted uncle and best friend to Jordan, Adeline (“Addie”), Spencer, and Michael.
Jerry had a huge heart and never met a stranger. He was kind, creative, thoughtful, generous, and known for his storytelling, sense of humor, and ability to make friends everywhere he went. He loved family, food, music, sports, and simply being around the people he cared about.
An avid camper and outdoor enthusiast, Jerry was happiest around a campfire, listening to music, telling stories, and enjoying nature - usually barefoot whenever he could be.
A proud Detroiter with deep roots in Warrendale, Jerry was proud of his Polish heritage and loved sharing stories about growing up in the neighborhood. He treasured the friendships he built throughout his life.
Jerry was a devoted Detroit Tigers fan, talented baseball player, and someone who could fix just about anything. He loved coaching, playing sports, cooking, and spending time with his nieces and nephews, who meant the world to him.
He also shared a special bond with his beloved birds, Wing Ding and Skittles, and was preceded in death by his bird Elvis.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for his generous spirit, unforgettable stories, and the love he gave so freely.
Jerry's family has requested and encouraged all attendees to wear Detroit Tigers apparel to the services.
