Jesse Ross passed away on June 23, 2023 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Gale Ross for 53 years. Loving father of Shannon (Chad) Griffin, Charlie Ross and Jesse (Julie) Ross. Cherished grandfather of his favorite grandchildren; Chad II, Takkara, Keianna, Blaine, Nyla, Zaryah, Reese and Maci. Great grandfather of Elliana and Vivienne. Dearest uncle of Brent, Britney, Mike, and Marnie. He is preceded in death by his sister and her late children.

Jesse Ross - known to many as "Ross", Grandpa, Dad, or Uncle - was calm, but stern; humorous, but wise. He was unfailingly generous of spirit and generous with his time. He was always eager to share in the successes of those close to him and cheer you up with his goofy personality when things didn't work out. He was everything we needed in a grandfather, father, husband, and friend; and so much more. The price of love is grief, and even though he is gone, he still has the power to turn these moments of grief into moments of laughter and unity. Not only well known for his love of neon shirts and clocks and his hatred of rocks in his yard and brooms standing bristles down, Jesse was also infamous for his never-ending jokes. Time spent with him was never without laughter; especially because everyone knew that if the first four jokes were a miss, you had to laugh at the fifth. He will be missed dearly by all who loved him and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Jesse is a retired Carpenter of Union Local 687.

Visitation will be held Thursday, June 29,2023 from 1:00-6:00pm located at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home 9800 Telegraph Rd., Taylor, MI 48180.
