Jessie Stretanski's Obituary
Jessie Stretanski passed away December 2, 2017 at the age of 95 with family by her side. Jessie was born in Amsterdam, New York on April 12, 1922, daughter of Joseph Trojanowski and Anna Sliwa. Her family moved to Detroit, where she grew up. After graduating from Northwestern High School, Jessie went to work at the A & P Bakery, where she met her husband of 63 years, the late Paul Stretanski. Jessie loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a sweet, loving and generous person and will be missed. Jessie is survived by her daughter, Susan Malley; daughter-in-law, Beverly Cislo; granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Erin (Malley) and Doruk Golcu; grandsons, Richard and David Stretanski, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; son, Richard; and her brother, John Trojan. Jessie's wishes were for no visitation prior to a funeral mass, which has already taken place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Dearborn. Memorial donations should be made to the Western Michigan University Department of Dance.
