Our dear mother, Joan Marie (Gondek) Buzo, 97, sadly and peacefully passed away July 7, 2025. She was a wonderful mother of 3 children, grandmother of 6 and great-grandmother of 10. She was born on May 15, 1928 in Detroit, MI. She dedicated her life to her family, friends and church members along with providing love and support to all. Joan was a devoted Catholic and worked many volunteer years at St. John's Catholic Parish in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. She offered her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren her wealth of wisdom, abundance of love and ample support. She will be sadly and sincerely missed by everyone she touched.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Buzo, mother, Sophie Kacala Gondek father, Leopold Gondek and 10 siblings.

She is survived by her children: David (Sharon) Buzo, Maria (Glenn) Pangrazzi, and Christina (Christopher) Bordnick; six cherish grandchildren, Amanda (Nate) Woodward, David (Bradlee) Buzo,II, Garett (Josie) Pangrazzi, Michael (Amy) Pangrazzi, Lauren (Nick) Bordnick, Drake (Lydia) Bordnick; 10 great grandchildren; Sophia Woodward, David Buzo III, Elizabeth Buzo, Cristiano Pangrazzi, Giavanna Pangrazzi, Luca Pangrazzi, Gemma Pangrazzi, Grayson Pangrazzi, Brooks Pangrazzi, Copeland Bordnick and one more girl to be born in December 2025.

The family will be receiving condolences and offering a general viewing on July 10th, at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 9800 Telegraph Road, Taylor, MI during the hours of 2:00pm-7:00pm with a blessing of the rosary from 7:00pm-8:00pm.

A viewing will be held Friday, July 11, 2025, 11:30am-12:00pm at St. Maria Goretti Parish, 20710 Colgate, Dearborn Heights, MI. A mass will follow the viewing at 12:00pm. There will be no procession to Oakview Cemetery, 1032 North Main Street, Royal Oak, MI. Burial will be at 3pm with a 2:45 arrival time.

Following service, the family will host dinner.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital https://www.stjude.org/ or Michigan Humane Society https://www.michiganhumane.org/ will be greatly appreciated.
