John Wayne Cheek went to his heavenly home and into the presence of his Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 15, 2020. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Ollie Belle Cheek. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Cheek (Ryan), his cherished "adopted" family Jeannie Caldwell, Lisa Lucas, and Shelley Woolsey, his "brothers from another mother" Mark Lucas, Mike Lucas, and Larry Woolsey. He also considered it an honor to be "Uncle John" to many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind extended family and friends.

Private cremation services through the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 S. Telegraph Rd.

The memorial service will take place on Sunday, August 30th, 2020 at 5:00PM and gathering from 3:00PM until 5:00PM at Kirby Free Will Baptist Church, located at 2773 Will Carleton Rd. in Flat Rock, Michigan.
