Rev. John F. Child's Obituary
Reverend John Child passed away on October 10 at the age of 91. He faithfully served as a priest of the Archdiocese of Detroit for 62 years. Beloved son of the late Douglas and Margaret Child. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home Thursday, October 14 from 3-8 pm. Instate at Sacred Heart Church (22430 Michigan Ave Dearborn, MI) on Friday, October 15 at 12:30 pm until the time of the Funeral Mass at 1:30 pm. Interment Mount Kelly Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Father Jack's memory are appreciated to support Sacred Heart Parish St. Vincent De Paul.
