John D. Ford was born Jan. 10, 1921 in Alabama. He was the 12th child out of 13 children.
On June 25, 1942 he joined the Army and was discharged on Sept. 29, 1945 with a Good Conduct Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 4 Bronze Stars.
He married Lois Marie Kimbril on Aug. 29, 1947. They had 6 children:
Patricia Ann Rogers, Josphine Porath, Deborah Kay Ford, Pete Glen Ford, Barba Lois Ford and Imojene Woznicki (Matt)
also adopted child Kathy Rains (Mitch)
Grandfather of 14.
Great-Grandfather of 18.
Great-Great Grandfather of 6.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Walter F. Ford and Minnie Lee (Martin) Ford, his loving wife Lois Marie Ford, a daughter's Patricia Ann Rogers and Deborah Kay Ford, a grandson John D. Ford and a son-in-law Mitch Rains.



Funeral Service will take place at the Taylor Chapel on Saturday July 16, at 12:30 pm., with a gathering from 11 - 12:30.
