Surrounded by family, John "Jack" Smith passed away peacefully on December 3, 2022 in Wyandotte, MI at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Donna. Loving father of Lori, Michael, Tom (Alyssa), and Kacie (D.J.). Proud grandfather of Robert, Chad, and Danielle. Proud papa of Addison, Morgan, and Scarlett. Blessed great-grandfather of Maci. Dear brother to Marlene (Johnny), Dean (Judy), and Jerry (Debbie, predeceased). Also survived by in-laws Carl & Karen, Bill & Pat, and Kathleen. Predeceased by father Charles, mother Lucille, brother Don (Shirley), and sister Joanne (Bill).

Jack Smith loved golf, bowling, camping, annual trips to Florida, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, and liked nothing more than to make other people laugh. To have known him for even a few minutes is to have a memory that will bring a smile to your face.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, located at 9800 Telegraph Rd, Taylor, MI 48180. A celebration of life will take place at 6:00 pm, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm.
