Dearborn Michigan resident, John Lawrence Kaye, passed away at the age of 87 on February 25, 2025. Survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara Elaine Kaye, and Sister, Barbara Turner (James Turner). Preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Stanley Kaye, and brother, Gerald Kaye.

John spent his career of over 3 decades with the Ford Motor Company. Loving husband to Barbara, they spent the majority of their retirement enjoying lunch dates. Although a man of a few words, he generally always used the right ones. Kind, witty, and always there to help out family and friends in their time of need. He was constantly tinkering in his basement workshop, whether it was fixing a vacuum or electric razor. Barbara always joked that the upstairs was her domain and the basement was his. His health consciousness kept him on this planet for 87 years, only to end abruptly with his short battle with illness.

John could be found daily taking cat naps around the house. May he find peace and comfort in his eternal nap.

Visitation at the Dearborn location of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services on Friday, February 28th, 2-8pm. Funeral service at the funeral home on Friday at 6pm.

Private interment at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
