John W. Krapohl passed away on January 19, 2025 at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Judy for 52 wonderful years. Loving father of Julie Krapohl, and Jason (Nicole) Krapohl. Cherished grandfather of Wesley (Brittney) Krapohl, Chloe Krapohl, Melanie Krapohl, and Phoebe Krapohl. Dearest brother of John F. (Lisa) Krapohl, and the late Edward Krapohl.

John was an Elder at Sunset Church of Christ in Taylor, MI for many years and was also a song leader there. He also taught adult classes, youth worship and did some preaching for the church in Caro, MI. He enjoyed working with young people. He organized/participated in activities such as VBS, pinewood derby races, hot wheel races, and LTC. He had a passion for serving others in his community. He was also a coach and treasurer of the Taylor Northwest Little League and was a part of the Taylor Good Fellows for many years. John loved to paint, hunt, fish, camp and garden in his spare time. He enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels and he had an interest in trains. John was devoted to taking care of his family and also to his faith. He will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2025 from 5:00-8:00pm located at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services 9800 Telegraph Rd. Taylor, MI 48180. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, a short viewing will be at 10:00am until the time of service at 11:00am located at Sunset Church of Christ 24800 Ecorse Rd. Taylor, MI 48180. John will be interred at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Flat Rock, MI.
