PALUS, John A.     Age 79 of Taylor

John Anthony Palus passed away peacefully at home on August 4, 2021 with his family by his side.  Beloved husband of Marcia.  Loving father of Arthur (Jodi), John (Sheila), Edward (Lenora), Mary, and Elizabeth (Douglas).  Proud grandfather of Samantha, Ryan, Kiera, John Kai, Edward Jr., Anna, John and Luke.  Loved uncle of many nieces and nephews. John was raised in the Roman Catholic faith. He was a proud native of Johnstown, PA.  U.S. Navy veteran Radioman 2nd class.  After his Naval service, John graduated from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh PA with a bachelors degree in economics.  Preferring working outdoors rather than in an office, John became a licensed contractor, specializing in cement and masonry work.  John loved the great outdoors, spending much of his free time hunting and fishing. He was a passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan. John is survived by his brothers Joseph and Bernard, and his sister Mary.  He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Anna, as well as siblings Helen (Sr. Emmanuel), Daniel, Anna, Charles, and Agnes.  John was a great man and friend to all, who will be tremendously missed.
