Joseph Pinho passed away on February 21, 2019 at the age of 99. Joseph was born in the village off Cucujaes, Portugal. He arrived in America in 1925 at the age of six years old.  Upon arriving in America the family settled in Springfield Township, which later became the town of Fordson and then Dearborn.

Joseph retired in 1980 from Ford Motor Company World Headquarters after 41 years as a systems analyst in the Production Control and Planning Department.

Joseph enjoyed his beloved hobby of woodcarving for 32 years after retirement and earned numerous awards and accolades for his work.

Joseph is survived by Elena O'Connor, niece; Larry (Kat) Pinho, nephew; Sherry (Mike) Metcalf, niece; Ken Pinho, nephew; predeceased by Gary Pinko, nephew.  Also survived by 5 great nieces and 2 great nephews and 4 great-great nieces and 4 great-great nephews.

The family requests no flowers, however, memorial contributions may be sent to Kelly's Kidz Foundation (mailing address: 48537 Antique Rd., Canton, MI 48187).

Visitation will take place on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 9:00AM until 11:00AM at the Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave.

Burial to take place on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 2:00PM at White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery located at 621 W. Long Lake Rd., Troy, MI 48098.
