Joseph A. Slaviero of Taylor died June 24, 2015. Beloved husband of Sylvia for 57 1/2 years. Loving Father of Michael (Jackie), Douglas (Kim), and Christopher (Michelle). Proud grandfather of Joshua, Jonathan, Ashley, Caitlin, Joey, and Nina. Preceded in death by Mother (Christina), Father (August), and Brother (Fred). Joe worked as a draftsman for both Chrysler and General Dynamics in the Tank Division. Joseph proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a 55 year member of St. Alfred Catholic Parish in Taylor. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Vincent dePaul Food Pantry 24900 Brest Road Taylor, Michigan 48180 are gratefully accepted and can be mailed to that address in care of SVDP Food Pantry. Visitation at the Taylor Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 S. Telegraph Road, Taylor from 2:00pm - 8:00pm on Friday, June 26th. Funeral Service will be at the funeral home on Saturday, June 27th, at 9:30am. Burial at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
