Joseph Szostek, Jr. August 23, 2014 Age 65, of Wayne, MI Joe is the loving husband of Lucy and the dearest father of Jaimie and Kaitie. He was born in Detroit, MI May 10, 1949 to Joseph Sr. and Kathryn (nee Parvin), who proceeded him in death along with his brother, Daniel. He is survived by his sisters, Sandy Meador, Karen Bryan an Sharyn Cullen along with his beloved nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Joe had a love for drag racing as a NHRA driver at "The Old Detroit Dragway" and "Milan Dragway" as well as being an avid NHRA fan. He wore many hats as a millwright for the Ironworkers, press operator and hilo driver. Also he was an active Mason, being a member of Flat Rock Hiram #110 Masonic Lodge, the Trenton OES #325, the Downriver Shrine Club and the Michigan Masonic Motorcycle Club. Joe's family and friends will gather Saturday, August 30th from 1:00pm-9:00pm at the Taylor Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 S. Telegraph Road, to celebrate his life, love and memories. A Masonic Service will be held at 7:30pm under the auspices of the Flat Rock Hiram #110 Masonic Lodge.
