Joseph Hilbert
Trimble
October 15, 1948 – June 1, 2025
Joseph Hilbert Trimble, a devoted family man, proud veteran, and gifted artist, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones at age 76.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Joseph was a lifelong resident of Dearborn. He served his country with honor in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, a period in his life he carried with dignity and quiet pride. After his service, he pursued his passion for the arts, earning a degree from Wayne State University and going on to work as a Graphic Designer at The Detroit News, where his creativity left a lasting impression.
Joseph had a deep love for cars and motorcycles, often found enjoying the thrill of the open road or sketching the world around him. An artist at heart, his work reflected his thoughtful, kind, and selfless spirit. He was known for his warm presence and generous nature—always putting others before himself.
He is survived by his son John Eaton and John's wife Stephanie; his nephews Thomas Trimble (Monica) and Adam Trimble (Betsy); his dear friend Virginia; and his sister-in-law Julia Trimble. Joseph was preceded in death by his beloved brother Thomas Oran Trimble, his father Hilbert Trimble, and his mother Mary Trimble.
Joseph's legacy of compassion, creativity, and quiet strength will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
