Obituary

Joseph Wolney of Taylor Michigan passed away on December 15, 2020 at the age of 78.

Beloved husband of Margaret Wolney.

Loving father of Michael (Mary) Wolney, Michelle (Mike) Humbles, Marc (Jennifer E.) Wolney, and Todd (Jennifer A.) Wolney.

Cherished grandfather of Aaron (Katrina) Humbles, Kristen (Joe) Roden, Erin Wolney, Sarah (Patrick) Gyetvay, Sinjin Wolney, Casey Humbles (Jesse Rice), Natalie Wolney, Kathryn Wolney, and Ian Wolney.

Proud great grandfather of Kameron and Konnor Humbles.

Joseph was born on April 29, 1942 in Dearborn Michigan to Joseph and Angela Wolney.

He married the love of his life, Margaret, on October 13, 1962 in Lincoln Park, Michigan.

Joe was a quiet guy, but he listened to everything.  When the kids would be arguing, he would just sit back and listen – he always knew more than they realized!  One word to describe him would be "Giver."  Joseph always gave 100% to anyone that needed help.

He enjoyed watching war movies and was a huge World War history buff.

Joseph loved animals.  He would feed birds and squirrels in the backyard.  The squirrels would even wait at the door for their daily handout of peanuts.  He took pride in adopting cats from the local shelters.

Visitation on Thursday from 3:00PM until 8:00PM (with a rosary at 7:00PM) at the Taylor Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph Rd.

Funeral mass on Friday, 10:00AM (Instate 9:30AM) at St. Constance Catholic Church located at 21555 Kinyon St. in Taylor. Burial to follow at Michigan Memorial Park.

Adopting pets was very important to Joseph and because of this, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Brownstown Animal Shelter.
