Joyce Earline Dobbins (nee Mink) of Carnegie, PA passed away on December 22, 2014 at the age of 80 after a short illness. Joyce is survived by her children, David Dobbins and Mona Tochia of Pittsburgh, Daniel Dobbins of Attleboro, Massachusetts, and Jay Dobbins of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Frank, Tia, and Toni Torchia of Pittsburgh, Justin and Jason Dobbins of Massachusetts, and Melinda Joyce Dobbins of Bristol, Connecticut. She is preceded in death by her husband David Vance Dobbins in 1988. Joyce was born on January 25, 1934 in Lincoln Park, Michigan. After marrying David Dobbins, she resided in Dearborn, MI, Long Island, NY, Southington, CT and Carnegie, PA. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed playing cards, bingo, poker machines, reading a good book, and her family. Calling hours are scheduled for Saturday, January, 10, 2015 at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, Taylor Chapel, 9800 South Telegraph Rd., Taylor, Michigan, 48180, from noon to 2 pm with a memorial service to follow. Pastor Ryan Bettinger of the Northline Baptist Church will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joyce's life. There will be a family gathering at Baldo's Italian Restaurant, 20051 Telegraph Rd., Brownstown, MI (5.5 miles south on the left) immediately following the service.
