Judith Mae Kain (nee Lanquist) Aug 27, 1939 – April 11, 2020
A longtime resident of Dearborn and Huron Township, Judy passed away due to respiratory complications from COVID 19.
Judy was born in the city of Flint, Michigan; her parents were Lambert Leslie Lanquist and Evelyn Mae Ford Lanquist. She graduated from Flint Technical High School in 1957.
Judy worked at AAA for 11 years, as a project manager/ analyst; with GMAC Financial Services in Detroit for 12 years and finished her career in Analyst positions with Jawood Mgt. and Analysts International. By far her greatest accomplishment was completing her Bachelor's of Science degree in July 1993 from Lawrence Technological University.
Judy was proceeded in death by her loving husband of 58 years Richard and grandson Matthew McCormick.
Survived by sister Betty Lou Burgess (Richard) of Abilene TX; and children Jeannette McCormick (David) of Dearborn; Michael Kain (Judith Melissa Szkutnicki) of Dearborn; Jeannie Kain of Huron Twp.; and Phillip Kain (Robin Bennett) of Phoenix AZ. As well as 8 grandchildren Ryan McCormick, Stephan Kuipers, Michelle Kuipers, Leslie Kain, Avery Kain, Nathan Machczynski, Carolyn Kain and Bennett Kain. Judy was not blessed with any great – grandchildren and when asked about that a few weeks ago she said she was "too young for that"
Judy leaves behind many friends in the fellowship of Al-Anon – relatives and friends of Alcoholics and problem drinkers who share their experience strength and hope in order to solve their common problems. For more information about Al-Anon visit https://al-anon.org/
Funeral service will be private. Interment with her husband at Michigan Memorial Cemetery on Huron River Dr. in Flat Rock.
