Obituary

Judith Mary Smith, 80, of Davenport, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025. Born November 19, 1944, Judith lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family and faith.

She was the beloved wife of the late Johnny Robert Smith, with whom she built a beautiful life and family. Together they raised five children, Christopher, Catherine, Robert, Edward, and Elizabeth and Judith's love extended to her thirteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

Judith was the eldest sister to her ten brothers and sisters, a role she embraced with care, guidance, and strength throughout her life. She was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith, which was the foundation of her values, her resilience, and her endless generosity toward others.

She was known for her famous fudge brownies that no holiday or family gathering was complete without, and for hosting huge Thanksgiving dinners where everyone felt welcome at her table. Her kitchen was often the heart of the home, filled with good food and even better company.

Judith dedicated 25 years as a Girl Scout leader, inspiring and mentoring countless young girls with her patience, creativity, and encouragement. She leaves behind not only cherished memories within her own family, but also a lasting impact on her community.

Judith will be remembered for her warm heart, her beautiful smile, her steadfast faith, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her family and friends will carry forward her traditions, her stories, and her love.
