Judy
Carrier
July 27, 1938 – December 12, 2024
Judy Carrier, age 86, of Wyandotte, Michigan, earned her wings and went to Heaven on December 12, 2024. She was born on July 27, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan. Judy was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend to many. She lived a great life, dedicating herself to being a homemaker and raising her five children.
Judy first married Marvin Cyr, with whom she had five children: Cheryl McKee, Michael Cyr (Mary Cyr), Jackie Cyr (Frank Lord), Mark Cyr, and Mickey Shaw-Cyr (Chris Shaw). Later, she married "Fritz" (Kenneth Carrier), with whom she shared her life until his passing in 2003.
Judy had many loves in her life, including her Canadian family, spending summers on the farm in Canada as a child, laughing, dancing, and spending time with friends and family. She had an extraordinary gift for making people feel at ease, always finding someone to talk to wherever she went. Her infectious smile could light up any room.
She was genuine, easygoing, loved her family, and cherished her fur-babies. Always ready for an adventure, whether it was lunch outings, enjoying a sundae, or visiting the casino in hopes of winning big. Despite facing challenging times, Judy's love and dedication raised five strong and loving children. She is survived by her children, her many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
As her youngest daughter once asked if she could have had more children, would she, her warm smile and loving heart said yes. Judy was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ellen Canham, and her parents, George and Ann Carroll.
Judy loved gardening, planting flowers and vegetables, and sometimes playfully yelling at the dog for eating her strawberries. She enjoyed swimming, being on the water, campfires, and riding around in golf carts, side-by-sides, and "off-roading," as she called it, during trips "up north" in Michigan. She adored dogs and cats, having had many over the years.
God is now watching over her, and she is happy in Heaven.
