Julia
Ciernik
January 6, 1924 – July 20, 2019
Julia Ciernik, age 95, passed away peacefully of natural causes on 7/20/19. Loving mother of Roberta, Marianne, Michelle (Holland), Christine (Roger) and Robert II. Also, survived by nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her beloved husband (married in 1942), Robert Ciernik in 2006.
Julia had a love for music, singing, nature, dogs (especially basset hounds), walking, and gardening. Julia had a beautiful voice and was a soloist with the church choir for many years. She had quite a green thumb and was an excellent nurse to all animals and family members. She shared a love for the sport of bowling with her husband thru most of their marriage. Going fishing and shopping were some other of her favorite activities.
Julia would always be attractively attired with a "must have" tube of lipstick in her purse. She was especially proud of her visit to the Vatican, with the Sacred Heart Church choir where she actually shook hands with the Pope and spoke to him in Polish.
Many good times were spent together on family outings to Kensington, Bishop Lake, Bell Isle, Wyandotte River Walk, including several excursions throughout the USA, the Virgin Islands and Canada!
Julia will be greatly missed by her family and friends!
