Katherine Irene Giannakopoulos unexpectedly fell asleep in death on May 13 ^th , 2022 at the age of 59.

She was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on March 25 ^th , 1963.  She is survived by her husband Emmanuel Giannakopoulos, her son Jason Gianacopoulos and his wife Selena, her parents Nicholas and Esme Vorves, brothers Gus, Nicholas and David, their wives Margaret, Leasa and Venus, nieces Madeline and her husband Andrew, Abigail and Azaria, nephews David and his wife Gabrielle and Nicholas, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Kathy was known for being one of Jehovah's Witnesses.  She had strong faith in her god Jehovah, loved to comment at her religious meetings and sing Kingdom songs.  When younger, she served as a regular pioneer for many years and helped others get to know Jehovah as well.

Her hobbies included traveling, being an excellent cook and fantastic decorator.  She was incredibly generous. Loved to tell stories and talk with others and would often be considered the life of the party.  And even though she suffered for decades with horrible health issues, she always had a smile on her face and a positive attitude.  She will truly be missed by all who loved her!

Services are going to be held at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home at the Taylor Chapel located at 9800 Telegraph Road in Taylor, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 19th, 2022 from 3:00PM until 8:00PM. Funeral Service will be led by Gus Vorves on Friday, May 20th, 2022 at 12:00PM with a short visitation prior beginning at 10:00AM.
