Katherine P. Manley

Katherine P. Manley was born on October 30, 1946, in Yonkers, New York, and lived nearly her entire life in Dearborn, Michigan. She died - peacefully and with family around her - on May 28, 2026, at the age of 79.

The eldest of five children born to Alex and Catherine Polkowski, Katherine (Kathy) worked for many years as a pension analyst at Comerica Bank and Ford Motor Company, where she made many lifelong friends.

Katherine was a devoted reader with a great interest in history and genealogy - she loved learning about her Irish and Polish roots. She also loved animals of all kinds, but cats in particular, and ensured a loving home for a few very lucky ones over the years.

She was a talented cook and gardener with a quick wit and a genuine curiosity about the world.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Catherine Polkowski; her husband, Bob Borowski; and her brother-in-law, David Warner. She is survived by her daughter, Katherine (Kate) Fisher (Jim); her siblings Barbara Warner (David Warner, deceased), Paul Polkowski (Kathy), Jim Polkowski, and Mary Jo Chimienti (Paul), her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Borowski; and five nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 4th with in state beginning at 10:30am and Mass beginning at 11:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 22430 Michigan Ave., Dearborn.
