Kenneth R. DeMolen passed away on December 9th, 2024 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Carole and the late Clarabelle, who left us in 2000. Loving father of Debra (Tom) Jones, Stephen, Linda (Jack) Lampe, Judy (Michael) Wiedbusch, Michael (Kim Brock), and David (Jennifer). Stepfather of Ken (Lynn) Sample, Lori (Michael) Kubit, and Patti (Steve) Kujala. Ken was also proud to be a grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his brother, Fr. Richard DeMolen.

Ken loved to take care of and spend time with his family. His family remembers his tremendous work ethic during his working years at Great Lakes Steel to provide a good life for his family. Ken was an avid sportsman and could be found in the woods every November hunting the next trophy and, in more recent years, calling in a turkey in the spring too. The family cabin at Lake George was his home away from home and was a source of relaxation, recreation, and great joy for him.

Visitation will be held at the Dearborn Location of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 12th , 2-7pm. Knights of Columbus Rosary to be held at 6pm. Funeral Mass will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, Dec. 13th, at 11am. Gathering begins at 10:30am. Interment to follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery.
