Kenneth (Gene) Hicks , age 83, of Trenton, MI. passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at his home with his 3 daughters by his side.  He will be deeply missed by them and his son-in-laws; Linda Hicks (Michael Toensfeldt) of Aransas Pass, TX, Brenda (Tony) Korotney of Flat Rock, MI and Sandi (Eddie) Schlacht of Trenton, MI.

Gene was a guiding light to his 4 grandchildren; Amanda (Bruno) Bennati, Kenny (Bre) Korotney, Krista Schlacht (Chris) of Trenton, MI.  He also has 5 great-grandchildren; Tyler age 12, Addilyn age 5, Giovanni age 5, Jackson age 4 and Sophia age 3.

Preceded in death by his loving wife, of 63 years; Marie, His father; Clyde Hicks, his mother and step-father; Louise and Virgil Fitzwater, his little sister; Shirley Dillmon, his youngest grandson; Michael Edwards Schlacht, several nephews, a couple great-nieces and many friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 7, 2023 4-8PM. Funeral Service will be Thursday, June 8 at 1PM.  All services will be located at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 Telegraph Rd. Taylor Mi 48180.  Interment to follow at Mt Hope Cemetery.
