Kenneth E. Wolfe, age 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 3, 2026. A man of deep faith, service, and family, Ken leaves behind a legacy of dedication to his community and those he loved.
Ken was the devoted husband of the late Carol Wolfe, with whom he shared 61 wonderful years of marriage. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Lorraine Wolfe, and his brother, Donald Wolfe.
He is the loving father of Keith (Maureen) Wolfe, Kevin (Shelly) Wolfe, and Colleen (Bill) Eldred. He was the cherished grandfather of Eric (Nicole) Eldred, Matthew (Tatyanna) Wolfe, Evan Eldred, Shannon Wolfe, Emma Eldred, Danielle (Jeremy) Syphrett, Skip (Nikki) McIe, and Cyle (Alicia) McIe; the proud great-grandfather of Roman Eldred. He is also survived by his brother, Jerald (Pam) Wolfe.
Ken proudly served his country in the Air Force National Guard during the 1960s. His professional career included time with the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad before joining General Motors, where he retired after 26 years of service.
A longtime, active member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church, Ken gave generously of his time to the Men's Club and served as a faithful usher. His commitment to service extended to the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years. Serving as a Cubmaster, Assistant Scoutmaster, and Unit Commissioner, Ken was eventually honored with the "Silver Beaver," the organization's highest award for distinguished service. Even in retirement, he and Carol continued to volunteer at scout camps together.
At home, Ken could often be found in the garage, meticulously maintaining his beloved Chevrolets. He had a passion for the outdoors, whether he was camping or enjoying cruises with friends and family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 7th at the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 22546 Michigan Avenue, Dearborn, Mi. 48127, 313-561-1500, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday April 8th at 10:00 a.m., with a gathering beginning at 9:30 AM., at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 3965 Merrick St, Dearborn Heights, MI 48125. In leu of flowers family requests donations to Alzheimers.
