Mr. Kevin Michael Blackburn, Age 52 of Hillman, MI died on October 24, 2015 at his residence. He was born on December 13, 1962 in Dearborn, MI to Earnest and Louise (Bonk) blackburn. He served his country proudly in the United States Navy as Lieutenant Commander. He retired from BP Oil as a refinery operator after almost 30 years. He moved to Hillman three years ago, formerly of Taylor and was a member of the Masonic Lodge 516 in Atlanta and Mason for a Year in 2015. Kevin was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed riding snowmobiles. Above everything, he enjoyed the time that was spent with his wife and family and will be dearly missed. He is survived by his loving wife, Juanita Blackburn of Hillman; daughter, Vanessa CaPalm of Wyandotte; son, Michael blackburn of Livonia; daughters, Samantha Blackburn of Trenton; Lauren (Matt) Ford of Hillman; grandchildren, Tyler, Lilly, Curtis, Jack, and Veruca; stepchildren, Daniel Schneider, John Schneider, David Schneider, and Joel (Stephanie) Schneider; brothers, Earnest Blackburn of Florida, Tony (Kim) Blackburn of Canada, and Tim Blackburn of Dearborn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Louise Blackburn. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a Masonic Service held in celebration of his life at a later date, as well as a Memorial Gathering Saturday, November 7, 2015, 11:00am-4:00pm at the Taylor Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 S.
