Kevin Michael
Dunbar
November 23, 1973 – July 30, 2020
Kevin attended Lahser High School in Bloomfield Hills, MI. He achieved a BA degree from Purdue University and an MA from Wayne State University. Kevin was a free spirit who lived in the present and on his terms. He was not a rebel. He was a dreamer. He had followers. He would enter a room and brighten it with his smile, his attitude or just his presence. He had "it." He made friends easily and was true to each and every one of them and made them happy. He made us happy. Kevin considered himself a creative person – tended more toward reading, music and drawing. He played hockey, golf and little league baseball. He wasn't an exceptional athlete but could hold his own in any sport. Kevin played the drums (self-taught) in college in a band called The Velmas. They actually had a manager who booked the band at several venues in and out of state. They cut a record and even though it never made it to the Top 10 list, Kevin and his bandmates had fun entertaining a good crowd. Kevin developed his talents and the path he set out for himself in the wine and hospitality industry entirely through self-directed study and attention to craft. Beyond work, Kevin read a lot, enjoyed watching baseball and socializing with his many friends. To honor Kevin, please buy a book, gift a friend a book or donate books to your local public library. There will only be a private family gathering. Donations in Kevin's honor are appreciated to the Salvation Army. https://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/ways-to-give/
