Kiersten Leigh
Mullins
June 4, 1992 – January 2, 2026
Kiersten Leigh White, age 33, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 2, 2026, in Garden City. She was born on June 4, 1992, in Dearborn, Michigan, and grew up in the Lincoln Park area.
Kiersten explored multiple careers throughout her life, including working as an EMT, an Early Childhood Development teacher's aide, and a caregiver. She was recognized in her work for being an outstanding caregiver, a reflection of her natural compassion and selflessness. While she took pride in her professional accomplishments, her greatest and most cherished role was being a mother to her eight beautiful children—four girls and four boys. She was a deeply present, nurturing, protective, patient, and loving mother who valued time with her babies above all else.
Kiersten had a passion for writing and poetry and proudly referred to herself as an "unknown poet." She loved reading and accomplished the impressive goal of reading 60 books in 2025. Writing and creativity were meaningful outlets for her, allowing her thoughtful and expressive spirit to shine.
She generously volunteered her time with her children's school activities, her church, and at the Penrickton Center for Blind Children. Giving from the heart came naturally to Kiersten, and she touched countless lives through her kindness and service.
In her youth, Kiersten was active in softball, volleyball, and dance. Later in life, dancing with her children brought her immense joy and laughter. She also enjoyed exercising and lifting weights, hiking, and spending time in nature.
Kiersten adored fall and everything Halloween. She especially treasured the time spent with her grandmother decorating, crafting, and embracing the spooky season. She loved the vibes of Halloween, trips to the orchard and pumpkin patch with her children, and dressing up together, creating memories her family will forever cherish.
Kiersten was recently saved in her church this past December. She was genuinely kind, strong, brave, beautiful, vibrant, patient, supportive, non-judgmental, selfless, loving, and sassy. She was deeply loved, will be profoundly missed, and leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through her children and all those whose lives she touched.
Kiersten was proceeded in death by her sister Margaret White, her uncle Donny White, and brother-in-law Travis Bielat.
Kiersten is survived by her mother Diana Harris (Aaron), grandmother Margaret White, her husband and best friend Jimmy Mullins the third, along with their beautiful children, Landen 16, Lilah 15, Jimmy 13, Jade 12, Kenzie 10, Khaleesi 6, Donny 4, and Dax 9 months. She is also survived by her siblings, Haley Hope, Zachary Hope, Tyler Meade, Justin Meade, Jordan Meade and Marissa Fritz. She leaves behind her sister in-laws, although through time claimed each other as truly sisters; Amanda Mullins, Jamie Bielat, and Jessica Mullins. Kiersten is survived by a father in-law that truly loved her as one of his own, Jimmy Mullins Jr.. Kiersten leaves behind a dear nephew Oliver Gilmore as well as a host of beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and dear friends.
