Beloved wife of John R. Amos. Loving mother of Darryl Poprave (Lori), Nathan Amos (Ruth), Aaron Amos (Gay), David Arnold (Foster son), Tammy McQuillan (Foster daughter) Matt McQuillan. Dearest grandmother of Gabe, Eva, Cece, Ian, Maya, Lydia, Spencer, Cameron, Noah, Lucas, Alaina and Joel. Loving daughter of the late Bud and Valree Blum. Dear sister of the late John Blum, Chuck Blum and Don Blum. Among those she dearly loved are sisters in law, brothers in law, cousins, and 3 generations of nieces and nephews. Even though Joan was not a member of any particular protestant denomination, she was a strong believer that Jesus Christ was her Lord and Savior. Joan spent 31 years as an elementary reading specialist and a substitute principal in the Riverview School District. She was a proud member of Alpha Delta Kappa sorority and a graduate of Wayne State University. She was awarded the John Philip Sousa Award for outstanding work in concert band. Funeral service will be Monday, February 10th at 6:00 p.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday 3-7 p.m. Interment Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia, Mi. Memorial contributions may be made to the John Blum Scholarship Fund, payments should be made out to: Hoyt Peckham, 35603 Scone, Livonia, Mi. 48154.
