Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and dear friend to all.

He worked at Great Lakes Steel for his entire career. In between raising his family and working, Larry

enjoyed bowling where he bowled on the same league and with the same group of guys for over 30

years.

In 1987, Larry and his childhood best friend purchased Bob Jo's Frozen Custard, a downriver landmark.

Even as recently as this past summer, Larry could be seen working at Bob Jo's and saying hi to the many,

many long-time and frequent customers.

Larry retired from Great Lakes Steel in 1998. After retirement, Larry and Barbara wintered in Venice,

Florida where they met many life-long friends. While in Florida, he enjoyed golfing, boating and helping

out many of his elderly neighbors and friends. He also served as a Board Member and President of the

condo association for many years.

Larry's kindness and giving spirit extended well beyond his family and close friends. Anyone who met

him, knew he was a true gem.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Barbara McGregor; his children Rob (Peggy) McGregor and Christine (Jeff) McCarthy ; grandchildren Emily (Jeremy) Bezzo, Sara, Evan, Claire & Alec; and great granddaughter Vivienne Elena Bezzo.
