Obituary

RANDALL, Leo Robert   Age 76, of Romulus

Leo was born in Detroit, MI to Gerald B. and Stella Cecilia (Wejzanowski) Randall on December 03, 1943. He passed away September 24, 2020 in Ypsilanti, MI, with both of his daughters by his side.

He was preceded in death by his siblings; Geraldine Anderson, Deloris Randall and Harvey Randall and two nephews Dennis Anderson, Timothy Anderson and his wife Chris Anderson.

He was a very dedicated and caring Father to his two daughters Kari Bergers (Jack), Kristi Randall (Jules), and to his Grandchildren Kallie and Griffin Bergers.

He loved his cats (all the cats!), took care of the neighborhood wildlife and was visited daily by his favorite well-fed ground hog "Harley".

Leo enjoyed working on his Harley Davidson motorcycles, collecting and shooting his guns, customizing his DJ equipment, landscaping his pond, woodworking, traveling and visiting his friends at the Gibraltar Trade Center and Greenlawn Grove flea market.

Leo graduated from Wilbur Wright High school in 1961. He was in the Army National Guard 1965-1969, during which he protected his hometown of Detroit during the riots of 1967. He earned his Associate Degree from Baker College while working as a Special Trades Mechanic at Ford Woodhaven Stamping Plant, from where he retired after 30 years.

He was a Precinct 12 Delegate and Vote Challenger at the polls. He was a member of the Taylor Republican Club, the NRA and Patriot Guard Riders. He supported many causes to protect human rights and animal rescue. He was a strong opponent to smart meters and a stronger advocate for Veterans.

Leo was extremely smart, strong, creative, innovative and generous. He spoke only the truth, like it or not.

He cherished his freedom and independence. He worked hard and stayed busy. He never gave up and fought like a warrior until his last breath.
