Linda Lee Cielieska was born on June 7, 1946 in Mercer, Pennsylvania to Ralph and Virginia (McConnell) Rhoads. On September 24, 2023 Linda passed away at the age of 77.

Linda is survived by her husband Robert "Bob" Cielieska of 55 years, their children: Robin (Cullen) Hunter of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Andy (Jenny) Cielieska of Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan; their 7 grandchildren: Ethan, Caeden, Nolan, Ansley (Hunter), Charlie, Samuel, Margaret (Cielieska); sisters-in-laws: Patricia Bowers, Melinda Rhoads; and nieces: Jence, Karly and Kourtney Rhoads. Her parents and brother Robert "Posey" Rhoads preceded her in death.

Linda graduated from Mercer High School in 1964 and represented her class as the Homecoming Queen. She than attended Robert Morris and received her degree in Secretarial Sciences. This is where she met the love of her life – Bob.

Linda was always supportive of her family no matter what direction life took. Bob's military career led them to different states- Virginia, Mississippi, Alaska & Michigan. Her children provided her opportunities to volunteer at school and cheer them on at different sporting events and numerous other activities.

Linda had a soft heart for always helping others. In addition to her family, she found opportunities to support charitable organizations. Linda spent countless hours helping the nonprofit Warm Hearts organization for 15+ years mending, washing, and folding clothes to help inspire and support teen mothers.

Linda was such a talented seamstress she created heirloom items for her family, such as Robin's wedding gown and christening outfits for her grandchildren. Linda and Bob worked together to make baby blankets, and matching baby hats and booties--again all of which were donated to various charities.

Linda cared for everyone she knew and set an example of love and compassion. She remembered to send cards on every birthday, holiday and always added a great message with her perfect handwriting.

Memorial Gathering will be Friday, October 6th, 2023, from 3:00pm – 8:00pm at the Dearborn location for Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. Dearborn, Michigan 48124. Celebration of Life service will be held at 7:00pm.

There will be a light supper available from 3:00pm – 8:00pm bring your appetite and fondest memories of Linda.
