Linda Lee Oke (Lapham)

Linda Lee Oke, née Lapham, passed away peacefully in her home in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, on September 21, 2024, at 81. Born on February 22, 1943, in Dearborn, Michigan.  Linda lived a life filled with love, dedication, and kindness.

Linda was the beloved wife of Stuart R. Oke. She was a devoted mother to her two sons, David (Peggy) Oke and Matthew Oke, and a cherished grandmother to Logan Oke. Linda is fondly remembered by her half-sisters, Joy (Jimmie) Blazek and Susan (Mahmoud) Hussein, and her stepsister, the late Lois (Lee) Woods whose bond she held dear.

Linda's active role in her church community, working with the church outreach ministry and various social clubs, was a testament to her dedication and service to others. She was a beloved Sunday School teacher, nurturing the faith of many young hearts, and a Den Mother in Cub Scouts Pack 284, guiding and mentoring young scouts with care and enthusiasm.

Her warm and welcoming spirit extended beyond her family and church. She was known for her kindness and generosity to everyone she met. Her passions included traveling and shopping, and she took great pride in being a stay-at-home mom with the boys.

Visitation will be at Howe Peterson Funeral Home in Dearborn, Michigan, on October 12, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a memorial service at Cherry Hill Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 23, at 11am.

Linda's legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire and live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
