Obituary

Linda Collier Watt passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born on June 27, 1947, in Barberton, Ohio, to Thomas and Dolores Collier (nee Gribble). Linda grew up in Barberton and graduated from Barberton High School in 1965.

She pursued higher education at Miami University (Ohio) and Wayne State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work in 1969. Later, she obtained a Paralegal certificate and an Associate's degree in Accounting. Throughout her life, Linda worked in several professions, including as a social worker, paralegal, accountant, and records librarian.

An avid crocheter, Linda was proud to have won a blue ribbon at the Michigan State Fair. Linda loved to gift handmade baby afghan blankets to friends and acquaintances and especially to donate them to Children's Hospital of Michigan. She also enjoyed reading, baking, and cooking. Above all, she was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Judge Adam Gadanac; and her sister, Sheryl Collier (David Ross). She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dr. Bill Watt; her daughters, Rebecca (Drew) Bayliff and Sarah Watt; grandchildren Ryan, Rhys, Robert, and Regan Hetzel; step-grandchildren Nate, Julia, and Caroline Bayliff; and stepsisters Ann (Roger) Young and Carol Gadanac.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Linda has been entrusted into the care of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home & Cremations Services, 22546 Michigan Ave., Dearborn Mi. 48124, 313-561-1500.
