Grecco, Lois L. (nee Copple) September 18, 2012, age 80 Lois passed away in Livonia, MI after a brief illness. She was born February 7, 1932 to Ruel Duane Copple and Dorothy May Miller of Grand Prairie Township, Jefferson County, Illinois. Educated in Centralia, Illinois joined the Social Security Administration in her second job shortly after graduating from Centralia High School and went on to a distinguished career which included the receipt of the SSA Commissioner's Citation for Outstanding Performance which was presented to her in 1983 ceremony in Baltimore. She retired first in 1989. Upon relocating to the Detroit area she joined Stroh Brewing working in Public Relations. Upon the Stroh shutdown she joined a colleague who had taken a position as VP, general Counsel for the MGM Grand Detroit Casino which was about to open. She went on to be a trusted Legal Assistant before retiring in February of 2012. Lois survived by her current husband of 26 years Joseph R. Grecco whose harmonic convergence with her occurred quite by accident in Chicago in 1984. Lois has three children by her former marriage to Jack D. Riley of Dix, IL. She is survived by sons Douglas Evan Riley also of Dix, IL, Gregory Wayne Riley of Belleville, IL and daughter Jacquelyn Kay Riley Vizcarra a State Department employee currently posted to Montevideo, Uruguay. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Lois was a class act whose calm demeanor and gentleness was a source of comfort and reassurance to those whose lives she touched. Quick with a friendly word or rapier wit as the situation required her counsel was often sought and generously extended. Safe home, fair lady.
