Loretta Rita Bresette passed away on May 15, 2022 at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Francis W. Bresette.

Loving Mother of Kathleen Wolfe, the late Alice Bresette, Paul (Roberta) Bresette, the late Thomas (Linda) Bresette, the late Joseph (Robyn) Bresette, John (Pennie) Bresette, and Barbara (Jack) Hannum.

Loretta also leaves behind 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, along with many other family members and friends along with her dearest friend Maureen O'Reilly.

Loretta was born to Bill and Emmela Higgins on November 20, 1922 in River Rouge, Michigan. She grew up with three sisters and two brothers. Loretta was baptized at Our Lady of Lourdes Church where she was later married to Francis W. Bresette. She was widowed on June 5, 1968. Loretta worked as a clerk at U of M Dearborn for 10 years before retiring in 1987. Prior to this, Loretta spent nearly 10 years working tirelessly as a dispatcher for the City of Dearborn Police Department. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church Choir for more than 35 years and served as a music librarian for 12 years. In 1990 Loretta and the choir went to Rome and sang before the Pope.
