Obituary

Pappas, Louella (nee Leventis), Age 91 of Ann Arbor, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 18, 2014, surrounded by her precious daughter Yvonne (Ed Saunders) and most loved grandson Gabriel Eickhoff. She was a tiny woman with a huge heart and ever-present smile who brought laughter and kindness to all. Louella is the dear sister of Ath Cargas; the late Tom Leventis (Nancy), Mary Backos (Danny), Louie Leventis (Paula), and Cleo Neilsen (Carl); and many beloved nieces and nephews. Louella was a devout member of the Greek Orthodox Church, singing in the choir for 27 years; a longtime employee of Hudson's; and purportedly good with a soldering iron, assisting in her father's Detroit radiator shop in the 1930's. She loved God and family above all else. We will miss her playfulness, her spunky spirit, her love for all beings, and her gracious nature. We rejoice in her enduring faith and take great comfort that she is now home. Visitation Sunday 5:00 - 8:00 pm with a scripture service at 7:00 pm; Dearborn Chapel of Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 22546 Michigan Ave. Funeral service Monday 10:30 am with a gathering at 10:00 am, St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 16300 Dix-Toledo Hwy, Southgate.
