Major Clarence Gwyllt passed away peacefully on Wed. March 29, 2017, at Beaumont Medical Center Dearborn, Michigan.  He was born in Kelvington, Saskatchewan Canada August 24, 1925 to George Gwyllt and Mary Humphries. Major, known as Chuck, proudly served in the RCAF 1943 – 1946 as an Air Traffic Controller.  Chuck became an American citizen in 1974.  In the United States, Chuck worked for United Airlines as a Senior Ticket Agent for 25 years and later as a Special Education Teacher until his retirement in 1990.  Chuck loved working in his garden and seeing life sprout from seeds each spring.  He had a very tender heart for all animals and was very proud of his Welsh heritage.  (Gorwedd Mewn Heddwch) (Rest In Peace).  He was predeceased by his brothers, Granville and Leslie and sisters, Mona and Violet.  His first wife Hazel and second wife Mary Ann also preceded him in death.  He is survived by a daughter Karen, son Alan, grandson Tony and granddaughter Christina. Also surviving are nieces and nephews and many dear friends.  At the time of his death, Chuck very proudly held both a U.S. and Canadian citizenship.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday July 22, 2017at 11:00am White Chapel Cemetery, 621 W Long Lake Rd, Troy, MI 48098 . Final arrangements are being handled by Howe-Peterson Funeral Home Dearborn, Michigan (313) 561-1500.
