Mathews, Marcus D. Age 48 April 24, 2013 of Brownstown. Marcus was born October 16, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan to Melvin and Evelyn (nee Hockenhull) Mathews. Marcus graduated from Detroit Public Schools (Cooley High) and Eastern Michigan University before beginning his career as a roofer, and then at Ford Motor Company. He is the beloved husband of Tonya and the dearest father of Chase. Marcus is also survived by his loving mother, Evelyn, his father Melvin, and is the dear brother of Marsha and Derrick. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 28, 2013 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at the Taylor Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home, 9800 S. Telegraph Road. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 P.M. to share your fondest memories. Repass will be held at 5:30 P.M. at UAW Region 1A , 9650 S. Telegraph Road (next door to funeral home)
