Margaret Lee (Peggy) Owens was born July 26, 1936 in Lapeer, Michigan.  She was the oldest of three children.  Her family moved to Dearborn where she attended school and graduated from Dearborn High School.  Soon after she began working for Ford Motor Company where she met and soon after married William Owens, Sr.  She was a dedicated mother to six children.  She eventually pursued an associate's degree in accounting and worked for The Fairlane Club for several years.  She was well traveled in her life.  She camped with her family all over Michigan and in many parts of the United States.  Later in life she and Bill enjoyed many cruises.  They traveled to Europe, where her and Bill toured many fabulous cities.  She was an active member at Christ Episcopal Church for many years, where she taught Sunday school and was active in St. Monica's Guild.  Peggy enjoyed reading, cooking, gardening and spoiling her many grandchildren.  She entered into rest on January 13, 2022.  She is survived by her husband, William Owens of 65 years as well as 6 loving children, Cynthia ( Keith), Kathleen ( Fred), William, Mark ( Cathrin), Suzan ( John) and Carol (Raymond).  She was a loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren and great grandmother to 8. She will be missed by all, but her memories will live on in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 120 N Military, Dearborn, on June 25th at 11am with a casual reception following at Ford Field. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
