Younger sister to the late Richard Andrews and late Zella "Teadie" Andrews Patterson. She was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston, West Virginia. Widowed at 23 Peggy then married Claude Sweet and they moved to Michigan. Claude and Peggy had five children, Charlotte, Cary, Candy, Danny and Bill. She was an incredible mother and grandmother. She resided in Michigan for the rest of her life but loved and spent her summers in West Virginia. An avid bridge player as well as any card game one could think of, we can all hear her say..."Deal 'em!" Two of her other talents were cross stitch and knitting and many, many family members and friends love these handmade gifts today. Peggy was also an incredible cook and baker. Her pie crusts legendary and even made them for friends. Two of her favorite places on earth were camping at Blue Bend and visiting her best friend, Mary Sue Hansen in Bay View, MI. A tent camper starting in 1968 she mastered the skill of camping at it's best! She made it fun, had home made food each night all while entertaining her children and numerous family and friends visiting camp from town.
