SWEET, Margaret, "Peggy" (Andrews), age 89 of Dearborn, MI passed away peacefully, from natural causes, June 11, 2017. Younger sister to the late Richard Andrews and late Zella "Teadie" Andrews Patterson. She was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston, West Virginia. Her early years were marked with her love of dance and she taught at Arthur Murray Dance School. In the years following high school she also worked in numerous resorts, married Angelo Romagnoli, had her first two children Angela and John and lived in White Sulphur Springs, WV. Widowed at 23 Peggy then married Claude Sweet and they moved to Michigan. Claude and Peggy had five children, Charlotte, Cary, Candy, Danny and Bill. She was an incredible mother and grandmother. She resided in Michigan for the rest of her life but loved and spent her summers in West Virginia. An avid bridge player as well as any card game one could think of, we can all hear her say..."Deal 'em!" Feisty and independent, she lived in her own home till the end and hosted pinochle Wednesday June 7th. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dearborn since the late 50s. She was an amazing chairperson for their rummage sale for over 20 years. She worked for a month at a time, three times a year in a full time capacity at Henry Ford Community College bookstore from 1974 to 2015. Two of her other talents were cross stitch and knitting and many, many family members and friends love these handmade gifts today. Peggy was also an incredible cook and baker. Her pie crusts legendary and even made them for friends. Two of her favorite places on earth were camping at Blue Bend and visiting her best friend, Mary Sue Hansen in Bay View, MI. A tent camper starting in 1968 she mastered the skill of camping at it's best! She made it fun, had home made food each night all while entertaining her children and numerous family and friends visiting camp from town. The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs was also a place she considered an extension of her home and thoroughly enjoyed going there for many lunches and dinners over the years. She is survived by her children, Angela, John, Charlotte, Cary, Candy and Bill. Her son Danny, sadly passed in 2015. Also survived by her loving grandchildren, Lindsay, Jacob, Ted, Danny, Alene, Lee, Rachel, Abby, Eliza, Paul, Jesse and Reese and great grandchildren Noah, Audrey and Alli. Memorial services will be held at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home 22546 Michigan Ave Dearborn, MI Saturday June 24 from 3-5 with a service from 4-5. The family would like to express their many thanks for everyone's wonderful memories, prayers and love. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Michigan.
