Margaret Wolney of Taylor, Michigan, passed away on June 28, 2026 at the age of 82.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph Wolney.
Loving mother of Michael (Mary) Wolney, Michelle (Mike) Humbles, Marc (Jennifer E.) Wolney, and Todd (Jennifer A.) Wolney.
Cherished grandmother of Aaron (Katrina) Humbles, Kristen (Joe) Roden, Erin Wolney, Sarah (Patrick) Gyetvay, Sinjin Wolney, Casey (Jesse) Rice, Natalie Wolney, Kathryn (Robert) West, and Ian Wolney.
Proud great grandmother of Kameron, Konnor, and Kinlei Humbles; Colton and Owen Roden; and Xavier Rice.
Survived by Charles (Anna) Pickett, and the late Carol (John) Pritchard.
Margaret was united in marriage to the love of her life, Joseph, on October 13, 1962, in Lincoln Park, Michigan. Together, they shared a lifetime filled with love, devotion, and family.
Margaret was a loving wife, devoted mother, and caring presence in the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. She was a dedicated housewife who found her greatest joy in caring for her children and creating a warm and loving home for her family.
She had a gentle and giving heart. She spent time bringing comfort to others by taking communion to patients in the hospital, offering kindness, support, and a caring presence to those who needed it most.
She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time with her adopted rescue cats, who held a special place in her heart. She enjoyed playing Chinese checkers, watching Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune, and relaxing with her favorite Diet Pepsi — lovingly known as her “brown water” — and a bag of salt and vinegar chips.
Music was another special part of Margaret’s life. She loved classic country music, especially the songs of Johnny Cash and Charley Pride, along with folk music and the timeless sounds of Burl Ives.
Margaret will be remembered for her caring spirit, her devotion to her family, her love of animals, and the many small joys that made her unique. Her kindness, warmth, and the memories she created will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
